handmade tote bag
brad's mom gave me this lovely handmade canvas tote for christmas. i've been searching high and low for a bag that i love, and can fit my laptop, three notebooks, tons of paper samples, and lots of other goods that often need to tote around. this does the job perfectly!

master bedroom
i absolutely love this beautiful master bedroom designed by jenny of little green notebook. it's so warm and inviting, and i love the fact that it is not overly feminine.
oh, and be sure to read jenny's incredible christmas eve birthing story!

family ring
how gorgeous is this ring? it belonged to brad's aunt phyllis who passed away a few months ago. she may have been the funniest and wittiest woman i have ever met. i enjoyed every moment i spent with her. before brad and i started dating, she used to tell him he wasn't allowed to get married until he was 30, but when she met me she changed her mind. after her passing his family gave me this beautiful ring. i think of her every time i wear it! we miss her.

lately i'm lovin'
i met julie of orchid grey this past weekend at the boston fashion blogger mixer. she was sweet, easy to talk to, and down-to-earth. she is also very beautiful and has impeccable style. i'm envious of her fashion sense and ability to find great bargains! head over to her blog to read more.
oh, and she recently posted a hair tutorial on how she does one of her amazing hairstyles. i watched it and then spent quite a bit of time (45 minutes) trying to do it on myself, but i failed. miserably. i'm horrible when it comes to styling my hair. i just don't have a knack for it.

gift wrap
i have been trying to think of a creative way to wrap our christmas presents this year. i think i've found it! i love this idea from country living (there are step-by-step instructions on the website.) it's also eco-friendly since we will be reusing newspapers that we already have in the house. Do you have any good gift wrapping ideas, or suggestions? (found via paper crave)

let a tall tree be.
i think this 'let a tall tree be' banner is super. although, i'm not sure i'd be able to resist getting a tall tree. (banner made by small stump, found via poppy talk)
